I headed to Switzerland last weekend. The distance from Amberg to Zurich is 470km. Most of people will choose train as transportation tool in Switzerland, the 4-day Switzerland pass is around USD150, it's not cheap. If you have a car, strongly suggest to travel with a car. Switzerland is a small country and gas (NTD 37/liter) is much cheaper than Germany (NTD 51/liter) and France. You can have 100% freedom with a car and save more money.
The hotel I stayed in Grindelwald is SFr 55 (NTD 1200) per person per night, with public toilet and bathroom. It's very easy to find this kind of cheap hotels in Switzerland, if you want a cheaper one, you can consider farm, the price is around SFr 20-40.
The weather was really bad on Saturday, but I was lucky, it turned great on Sunday.
